“Lake Superior is Marquette County’s greatest treasure. We live along one of the largest repositories of fresh water in the world.
As the climate changes and clean, drinkable water becomes scarcer, where will people want to live? People move here to enjoy the fresh air, clean water, and natural beauty. That appeal is going to become even stronger in coming years.
The proposed rocket launch site might financially benefit a few self-interested investors, but it’s a raw deal for the rest of us."
