YOUR VOICE IS IMPORTANT!
Writing to your representatives is one of the best ways to be heard. This project is NOT a done deal and we need to let our representatives know our views.
WHY WRITE TO POWELL TOWNSHIP?
The location of the proposed spaceport is at Granot Loma, in Powell Township, Marquette County, Michigan. The Powell Township Board must approve a permit for heavy industrial zoning in order for a spaceport to be built.
So please contact Powell Township officials, thank them for their history of good stewardship of the environment, let them know this property and surrounding area has much higher value without heavy industry, tell them you oppose the Granot Loma launch plan, and ask them to deny any future request to rezone that area for a rocket launch site.
