This fall, we are hosting a mini-series of community lectures this fall to talk about wetlands. The first lecture is October 17, and will feature Kim Ferraro, an environmental attorney and professor at Indiana University's School of Law, for a discussion about federal wetland regulations and how recent Supreme Court decisions in particular have shaped the way wetlands are protected in our nation. It promises to be an interesting and relevant presentation!
Date: October 17
Time: 7pm start - 1 hour event
Location: Ore Dock Brewing Co.
We're partnering with Powell Township Parks & Rec, Powell Township School, and other local organizations and residents to transform the Big Bay Pathway trailhead into a native plant garden and outdoor learning area! We're planting the area with native and pollinator-friendly plants and installing locally-built benches and signage to enhance learning opportunities at the trailhead so that people of all ages and abilities in Big Bay can learn about native plants.
If you'd like to help us bring the garden to life, please RSVP for any of the following dates. Bring your own gardening gloves and water bottle.
