Policy Brief: Marquette County Communities Need Wetland Protections

Marquette County's wetlands are essential to the health of the Lake Superior watershed. Responsible land-use controls can protect local wetlands, property owners, and Lake Superior. Unfortunately, just 1 out of Marquette County's 22 municipalities have wetland protections in the form of building setbacks and buffer strips in their Zoning Ordinance.
